Tomorrow is our first IAPE t-shirt Tuesday!

This is a reminder for all our IAPE members to wear your red or black IAPE t-shirt tomorrow. Tuesday Sept. 24.  We plan on wearing our t-shirts every Tuesday until we secure a contract. It has been 67 days since we gave management our proposal on wages. The bargaining committee needs your help to increase the pressure so we can finally get a response.

We understand not everyone can wear their IAPE shirt for the whole work day. You can wear it to the group photos we’ve planned around the offices and drape it on the back of your chair for the remainder of the day to show your support for the bargaining committee.

If you didn’t preorder a shirt or pickup your shirt yet, no worries. We ordered enough for everyone and here are some instructions from our organizers across the country on how to secure yours:

  • NYC/1211 - Pickups are scheduled for Monday 2-3:30 p.m. in the Gotham meeting room (9th floor) and Tuesday 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the NYCFC meeting room (5th floor - old office behind glass wall behind stairs).

  • Princeton/SBK - Pickups are scheduled for Monday 12-2 p.m. in the cafeteria and 3-5 p.m. in the rotunda coffee bar. And final pickup on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. again in the rotunda coffee bar. We will also gather for a group photo in our shirts in the rotunda at 11 a.m.

  • Washington D.C. - Check in with Ryan Tracy or Theo Francis today to secure your shirt.

  • San Francisco - Check in with Georgia Wells today to secure your shirt.

  • Chicago - Many members picked up T-shirts at the bureau get-together last Wednesday. If you missed that hand-out, visit John or Austen at their desks to get your shirt, or more buttons and stickers.

  • Los Angeles - If you don't yet have a t-shirt, please come see Ali Berzon or pick one up from the box next to her desk in the back of the news side of the office.

  • Other offices - We are currently in the process of sending out your shirts!

We are looking to gather a plethora of group photos (small and big groups welcome!) to circulate on social media. So plan to organize a group shot on your own and send it to stefanie.frey@iape1096.org to be added to our thread.
