Contract 101: You’re Getting a Raise
/It’s nearly the end of the fiscal year at Dow Jones. That means, with the exception of the nine IAPE-represented employees hired since May 1, you’re all getting a raise on July 1.
Seems pretty straightforward, right? The collective agreement between IAPE and Dow Jones states that eligible employees shall receive a 3.75% compensatory increase effective July 1, 2026.
Oh, except for those of you who qualify for a minimum-dollar increase—your raise will be larger. And scale increases, they're generally larger still.
You know what? You should come to our Contract 101 class tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m. EDT to learn all about our negotiated pay increases.
“I just got promoted, do I still get a contract raise?” Yes. Yes you do.
“Can somebody explain the pay scales for me?” Yep, we can do that.
“My manager says the company would give me a merit increase, but the IAPE contract says they’re not permitted.” Your manager is ly . . . um, mistaken.
Tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. EDT. We’ll answer all your contract pay raise questions—maybe even some you haven’t thought of yet. Visit the IAPE Events page to register (be sure to select “Contract 101”), meeting links will be emailed to attendees prior to the class.
