Bad Weather Policy

The 'severe weather' policy at Dow Jones provides that, if a state of emergency is declared (and the roads or transit system you use to get to work have been closed by government order) you are not expected to come to work AND you get paid for the day. If you call out because you believe it is too dangerous to commute (but roads or transit have not been officially closed), you may be docked for the day's pay or required to use a vacation day or personal day at the discretion of your manager, but you are protected from disciplinary action for failing to report to your office.

REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES, CALL AND NOTIFY YOUR MANAGER OF YOUR SITUATION.
