IAPE Treasurer
IAPE Treasurer Mike Cioppi left the company — and IAPE — on July 15, 2009 and will not be able to complete his term. Since there are more than 18 months remaining in his term, the Election Committee will conduct a special election, as mandated by the IAPE Bylaws.
Erin Rodgers
IAPE President Steve Yount has nominated — and the Executive Council has confirmed — Erin Rodgers as interim Treasurer. Erin has agreed to serve as Treasurer for the 60-day interim period outlined in the Bylaws and has agreed to stand for election to serve the remainder of the original term.
Erin is a long-serving activist/steward at Factiva, served on the last three Factiva contract bargaining teams and has been involved in countless cases where she has represented her coworkers in dealings with management, defending the rights and protecting the interests of her coworkers. "I have the utmost confidence in Erin's ability and her dedication. I believe she'll be a valuable addition to the IAPE leadership," Yount said.
The special election notice and the guidelines for nominations have been posted on the IAPE website and will be sent to the membership the week of July 20, 2009.
