MLK Holiday
Monday, January 19, 2009, is the federal holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, junior — and it is one of the eight holidays recognized by the IAPE Dow Jones contract.
If you are required to work on the MLK Holiday, you are entitled to time and and a half (double time for anything beyond your regularly scheduled hours) PLUS either another day off or a regular day's straight pay, at the discretion of the company.
