DJ Retirement Changes
In case you missed it, Dow Jones CEO Les Hinton has posted a memo May 18th outlining changes the company is making this summer to retirement plans at Dow Jones.
These changes do not effect IAPE-represented employees or the 401(k), Money Purchase Plan contributions or Retiree Health Care coverage guaranteed in your contract.
The company says it'll ask for the same changes from us when it goes to the bargaining table with IAPE late this year — and we'll be ready to respond to the company's proposal, in detail, at the bargaining table.
In the meantime, there will be no unilateral changes imposed by the company on anyone covered by the IAPE contract.
