Good Friday

Just a quick reminder: Good Friday, marked this year on Friday April 10th, is NOT a Dow Jones holiday in the United States— and neither is Easter Sunday. Good Friday, however, is one of the recognized holidays for IAPE-represented employees in Canada.

For US based IAPE-represented employees, the contract recognizes only eight holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If you work either Good Friday or Easter (in the US) you will not receive anything extra — unless the day is one of your regularly scheduled days off, in which case you're eligible for premium pay.

As always, if you have any problems, let us know.
