Rodgers Elected Treasurer
IAPE Interim Treasurer Erin Rodgers has been declared "elected" to complete the unexpired term of Treasurer Mike Cioppi, who left the company — and IAPE — on July 15, 2009.
As prescribed by the IAPE Bylaws, the IAPE Executive Council selected an interim officer while nominations were accepted for a special election. The deadline for nominations passed on Monday, August 3, 2009 with Erin Rodgers as the only member to be nominated. Under the terms of the IAPE bylaws, she has been declared "elected."
Erin is a long-serving activist/steward at Factiva, served on the last three Factiva contract bargaining teams and has been involved in countless cases where she has represented her coworkers in dealings with management, defending the rights and protecting the interests of her coworkers.
IAPE president Steve Yount said, "Erin is an outstanding individual. I am very pleased she agreed to serve," Yount added. "I believe she'll be a valuable addition to the IAPE leadership."
Erin Rodgers' term as Treasurer will officially begin September 1, 2009 and continue until December 1, 2011.
