EMG Layoffs
For those who might have missed the November 13, 2008, 2:00 AM memo from the company, Dow Jones is cutting some jobs at its EMG (Enterprise Media Group) unit. The layoff notice we've received from the company lists 40 IAPE-represented employees.
We have some serious questions that need to be answered and we'll be pursuing those with management in the days ahead. We are reviewing the list right now to ensure that the company is following the terms of the contact and that every IAPE member affected by these cuts receive every protection and benefit the contract provides.
