Thank You
The following is a New Year's Day letter to the IAPE membership.
Friends,
I wanted to begin 2008 with a simple "thank you" for the opportunity to serve as president of your union.
2007 was, to say the least, "interesting" — complete with both exhilarating achievements and bitter disappointments. I expect 2008 to be much the same kind of combination as we deal with the News Corp. integration.
But throughout it all I can promise you one thing: I will give you my best effort, each and every day, to defend and advance your interests— to fight for your money, your job and your benefits.
There's a great deal of work to be done — and it'll be difficult — but it has to be done and we have to do it together. More on that to come — but for today, Happy New Year and thank you.
