This Week
There are a couple of items of interest coming up Monday and Tuesday of this week— both of which could play a significant role in your future at Dow Jones & Company.
First of all, the Bancroft Family is meeting in Boston Monday to discuss the News Corp. offer for Dow Jones & Company amid reports that Christopher Bancroft is continuing his efforts to block the sale.
Over the weekend would-be investor Brad Greenspan wrote an open letter to shareholders, former Dow Jones Director Jim Ottaway authored a commentary in the Financial Times and Salon.com published an opinion piece from IAPE — all on the heels of the resignation of Dow Jones Director Dieter von Holtzbrinck.
On Tuesday we're back at the bargaining table for our third off-the-record session with the company. This one should give us a much clearer idea of whether the company is serious about coming to terms on a deal.
We'll keep you posted — and as always, if you have any thoughts to share, let us know.
