Bargaining Update 07.18.07
We held a second off-the-record bargaining meeting on Wednesday July, 18th, and the company came back to us with responses to the extensive compromises we proposed at our last meeting.
While we saw some signs of progress, their latest proposals fell well short of closing the gap between us. We told the company's negotiators that we expect to see more movement from them and that a significant difference remains between what they are offering and what we can accept.
Because some progress is being made, we decided that it is worth holding a third off-the-record meeting, next Tuesday, in hopes of bridging some of the gaps. We will respond to them in more detail at that meeting, and we will let you know how that meeting goes.
