Harborside Elections
IAPE TNG/CWA Local 1096 Special Election — RESULTS
Election ballots have been counted in the Special Election May 9, 2007 for two Location Directors for Harborside and the following results recorded:
64 votes — Bob Kozma
47 votes — Stephen Nakrosis
39 votes — Joe Checkler
30 votes — Rob Johnson
Bob Kozma and Stephen Nakrosis have been declared elected to the Board of Directors of the Independent Association of Publishers' Employees and will serve as Location Directors representing Jersey City, NJ (Harborside).
Terms of office for current directors end November 30, 2008.
Congratulations to Bob and Steve— and a word of thanks to Bob, Steve, Joe and Rob for accepting their nominations and standing-up to represent Harborside. At the same time, I wanted to especially thank all those who voted. The turn out was impressive— and another sign that Harborside is engaged in the fight for a Quality Contract.
Bob and Steve will be joining the IAPE Board of Directors at the Board meeting May 19th and working with the union office and a growing network of Harborside stewards to ensure that your union serves tyhe membership.
