Your Pizza. Your Contract.

Approximately 100 IAPE represented members of the New York newsroom gathered Thursday August 2, 2007 for a slice of pizza and an update on contract bargaining with Bargaining Committee Chair Jim Browning.

As Jim outlined the latest IAPE analysis of the Dow Jones contract offer— and its "$7,300 pay cut"— the newsroom members delivered a clear message: the combination of proposed wage hikes and health care premium increases now being offered by Dow Jones is unacceptable.

New York demonstrated the same resolve that was expressed by members in South Brunswick who gathered for a mid-morning rally on Thursday July 26th, that the fight for a quality contract will continue— regardless of who owns Dow Jones & Company.

Contract bargaining is scheduled to resume Tuesday August 7th.
