TNG Elections
For the first time since IAPE joined the Communications Workers of America in 1996 — and became a member of The Newspaper Guild — there is a contested leadership election at the Guild.
IAPE had planned to post the results of the Newspaper Guild leadership elections here after the IAPE votes were tabulated and sent to the Sector Election and Referendum Committee, but that posting has been delayed at the request of the SERC Chair.
There was an election problem in York, Pennsylvania which forced a delay in the certification of the results. The SERC Chair has requested that partial returns not be posted until the votes in York can be cast and counted.
The IAPE Election Committee has agreed to honor that request.
IAPE's results, and those of the rest of the Newspaper Guild, will be posted here once the count is completed.
