Contract Ratification
Dow Jones Contract Ratification
The IAPE Board of Directors has voted to send the Dow Jones contract offer , as amended September 14, 2007, to the membership with a recommendation that the package be ratified.
The ratification vote will be administered by TrueBallot Inc. and conducted on-line, with each eligible voter contacted via their Dow Jones e-mail address. The on-line voting will be conducted from Thursday, October 4, 2007 through 9:00AM Friday, October 12, 2007.
A point-by-point explanation of the terms of the proposal has been posted on the IAPE website, along with a spreadsheet detailing the break-down in premiums and wage increases. We've also posted a Wages/Premiums Converter which will calculate exactly what the proposed combination of wages and premiums will mean to your bottom line over the life of the contract.
The changes in the Managed Choice health care plan will mirror those changes the company made for non-union employees on January 1, 2007 and have been posted as a guide to the terms of the proposed new plan.
